Creating an excursion experience on ¡HolaOlas! allows you to offer your outings online with a professional booking system.

This guide walks you through step by step to configure all necessary elements: basic information, rates, availability, meeting point and additional details.

Basic information

Start by filling in the essential information of your excursion:

  • Excursion name: The name that will appear on your booking page
  • Description: Present your excursion, its route and highlights. You can use AI help to generate a professional description.
  • Experience type: Select "Excursion"
  • Booking mode: Choose between private (booking for a group) or shared (individual booking)
  • Multi-day excursion: Check this box if your excursion spans multiple days (e.g., sailing trip, multi-day tour). Customers will select a predefined period instead of a single date.

Rates and capacity

Configure your rates according to your booking mode:

Private mode (booking for a group):

  • Base price: Price for a base number of people (e.g., 2 people)
  • Base people: Number of people included in the base price
  • Additional price: Price per additional person
  • Child price: Price for children (optional)

Shared mode (individual booking):

  • Price per person: Fixed price per participant
  • Child price: Reduced price for children

💡 Tip: You can set special rates for certain periods (high season, events) directly from the dashboard.

Deposit settings

Configure payment options for your excursion:

  • Enable deposit option: Allow customers to pay a deposit instead of the full amount
  • Deposit percentage: Set a percentage between 1% and 99% (default: 30%)
  • Disable deposit: If disabled, only full payments will be offered

💡 Tip: The deposit helps reduce cancellations and secure your bookings. The remaining balance is automatically charged on the excursion date.

Availability and time slots

Configure your availability and time slots:

  • Availability: Indicate dates when your excursion is available

* For multi-day excursions: Define available periods (e.g., sailing trip from February 10 to 20). Customers will select a predefined period.

* For classic excursions: Time slots are mandatory

  • Time slots: Define departure times (e.g., 9am, 2pm, 6pm) - hidden in multi-day mode
  • Blocked dates: Block specific dates (bad weather, maintenance)

📅 Advice: For seasonal excursions, configure your availability in advance for the entire season.

Meeting point

The meeting point is essential for your customers:

  • Full address: Indicate the precise address of the departure point
  • Landmark: Add directions (e.g., "In front of the tourist office", "Port parking")
  • GPS coordinates: The system automatically generates a Google Maps link

📍 Advice: Be precise in your directions to avoid delays and confusion.

Additional details

Complete the additional details to inform your customers:

  • Difficulty level: Easy, Medium, Hard, Expert
  • Duration: Approximate duration of the excursion
  • Included: What is included in the price (equipment, guide, transport)
  • Not included: What is not included (meals, insurance)
  • Age restrictions: Minimum or maximum age required
  • Weather conditions: Information on weather conditions
  • Cancellation policy: Configure your cancellation conditions. Use AI help to generate a professional policy.

Images and presentation

Images are essential to attract customers:

  • Main image: The first image visible on your page (recommended: iconic view of the excursion)
  • Additional images: Add up to 10 images (route, landscapes, equipment)

📸 Advice: Show the highlights of your excursion and create desire with quality photos.

Translations

All important fields are translatable:

  • Name: Translate your excursion name
  • Description: Translate the complete description
  • Meeting point: Translate the directions
  • Details: Translate included/not included items
