Stripe for activities: how payments work on ¡HolaOlas!
¡HolaOlas! uses Stripe as its payment infrastructure for one simple reason:
it is a global, reliable and widely trusted standard.
With ¡HolaOlas!, funds never pass through the platform.
Payments go directly to the provider's Stripe account.
Where booking payments go
When a customer pays:
- the payment is processed by Stripe
- funds are deposited into the provider's Stripe account
- ¡HolaOlas! takes no commission on the booking
The platform never holds or delays your money.
Payment security
Stripe handles:
- card security
- PCI-DSS compliance
- 3D Secure authentication when required
Card details are never stored by ¡HolaOlas!.
Deposit or full payment
Depending on the provider's configuration, customers can:
- pay a deposit (configurable between 1% and 99%, default 30%)
- pay the full amount
The provider can enable or disable the deposit option for each experience.
When a deposit is used:
- the remaining balance is charged automatically by Stripe
- no manual action is required
Currencies and countries
Stripe automatically manages:
- local currencies
- country-specific payment methods
- bank payout schedules
¡HolaOlas! follows the provider's Stripe configuration.
Payment fees
The only fees applied are:
- standard Stripe transaction fees
- varying by country and currency
¡HolaOlas! adds no hidden fees and no commission.
What ¡HolaOlas! does not do
- does not store card data
- does not hold booking funds
- does not impose a specific bank
- does not override Stripe rules
Financial control always stays with the provider.
