Stripe for activities: how payments work on ¡HolaOlas!

¡HolaOlas! uses Stripe as its payment infrastructure for one simple reason:

it is a global, reliable and widely trusted standard.

With ¡HolaOlas!, funds never pass through the platform.

Payments go directly to the provider's Stripe account.

Where booking payments go

When a customer pays:

  • the payment is processed by Stripe
  • funds are deposited into the provider's Stripe account
  • ¡HolaOlas! takes no commission on the booking

The platform never holds or delays your money.

Payment security

Stripe handles:

  • card security
  • PCI-DSS compliance
  • 3D Secure authentication when required

Card details are never stored by ¡HolaOlas!.

Deposit or full payment

Depending on the provider's configuration, customers can:

  • pay a deposit (configurable between 1% and 99%, default 30%)
  • pay the full amount

The provider can enable or disable the deposit option for each experience.

When a deposit is used:

  • the remaining balance is charged automatically by Stripe
  • no manual action is required

Currencies and countries

Stripe automatically manages:

  • local currencies
  • country-specific payment methods
  • bank payout schedules

¡HolaOlas! follows the provider's Stripe configuration.

Payment fees

The only fees applied are:

  • standard Stripe transaction fees
  • varying by country and currency

¡HolaOlas! adds no hidden fees and no commission.

What ¡HolaOlas! does not do

  • does not store card data
  • does not hold booking funds
  • does not impose a specific bank
  • does not override Stripe rules

Financial control always stays with the provider.

What this guarantees

  • direct payouts
  • secure payments
  • full transparency
  • platform independence
