Create a Stripe account from dashboard

To receive payments from your bookings, you need to connect a Stripe account to your ¡HolaOlas! profile.

¡HolaOlas! uses Stripe Connect to allow you to receive payments directly to your bank account, with no platform commission.

This guide explains how to create your Stripe account from the dashboard and answers all common questions.

Where to find Stripe configuration in the dashboard

To access Stripe configuration:

  • Go to Settings (gear icon in the dashboard menu)
  • Scroll down to the "Stripe Connect" section
  • Click the "Info" button to see details before starting

The Stripe Connect section displays your current status and allows you to create or manage your Stripe account.

Stripe account creation process

The process is simple and takes about 2-3 minutes:

  • Step 1 : Click "Connect Stripe" in the Stripe Connect section
  • Step 2 : Select your country (required)
  • Step 3 : You are redirected to Stripe to complete registration
  • Step 4 : Fill in the information requested by Stripe
  • Step 5 : Once completed, you automatically return to your dashboard

¡HolaOlas! automatically creates a Stripe Express account for you. You don't need to have an existing Stripe account.

Information requested by Stripe

During registration, Stripe will ask for:

  • Your email : For communications and notifications
  • Business information : Your company name or you as an individual
  • Bank details : To receive payment transfers
  • ID verification : Depending on your country, for verification
  • Your website URL : ⚠️ REQUIRED (see next section)

This information is necessary for Stripe to verify your identity and enable payments.

⚠️ Website required: what to do if you don't have one?

Stripe requires a website URL when creating an account.

This is a Stripe requirement for verification and regulatory compliance.

If you don't have a website, you can use one of these alternatives:

  • Your ¡HolaOlas! provider page URL :

* Example: `https://holaolas.app/en/p/your-slug`

* Example: `https://holaolas.app/fr/p/your-slug`

* This is the best option as it shows your actual activity and all your experiences

  • Your professional Facebook page :

* Example: `https://www.facebook.com/your-page`

* If you have a Facebook page dedicated to your activity

  • Your professional Instagram page :

* Example: `https://www.instagram.com/your-account`

* If you use Instagram to promote your experiences

Recommendation : Use your ¡HolaOlas! provider page URL as it directly represents your booking activity and all your experiences.

Why does Stripe require a website?

Stripe requires a website URL for several legal and security reasons:

  • Identity verification : Confirm that you are a legitimate business or professional
  • Regulatory compliance : Meet financial authority requirements (KYC - Know Your Customer)
  • Transparency : Allow customers to verify your online activity
  • Security : Reduce fraud and illegal activity risks

This is a standard Stripe requirement, not specific to ¡HolaOlas!. All providers using Stripe must provide this information.

Important : Stripe accepts social media pages or platform pages as valid alternatives if you don't have a dedicated website.

Where to find your ¡HolaOlas! provider page URL

To find your provider page URL to use for Stripe:

  • From the dashboard :

* Go to Settings (gear icon)

* Open the "Public visibility" tab

* You will find your provider page URL displayed

* Format: `https://holaolas.app/[locale]/p/[your-slug]`

* Copy this complete URL

  • URL format :

* `https://holaolas.app/en/p/your-slug` (English)

* `https://holaolas.app/fr/p/your-slug` (French)

* `https://holaolas.app/es/p/your-slug` (Spanish)

Use this URL exactly as it appears, with the `https://` protocol.

Note : If you haven't configured your provider slug yet, you must first set it in the "Public visibility" tab of Settings.

After account creation

Once your Stripe account is created and configured:

  • Active status : Your account appears as "active" in the dashboard
  • Payments enabled : You can receive payments immediately
  • Automatic transfers : Payments are automatically transferred to your bank account
  • Management : You can manage your Stripe account directly from the dashboard

If your account is pending verification, you will see a "Pending" status until Stripe validates your information.

Manage your Stripe account

From the Stripe Connect section in the dashboard, you can:

  • View status : Check if payments are enabled
  • Manage account : Access the Stripe dashboard to modify your information
  • Refresh status : Update your account status
  • Disconnect : Remove the connection (if needed)

All payments are automatically processed by Stripe and transferred to your bank account according to Stripe's schedule.
